LA SOLANA
It is a magnificent place to start to discover La Solana, as it was here that the town began to develop. The square has been declared a Provincial Historic Monument. Nowadays it is divided into two distinct areas that differ in terms of their appearance and epoch. The east side, with lintelled porches, and the Town Hall are from the 16th century and were constructed by the master builders Luís de Béjar and Cristóbal Díaz in 1530. The west and north sides have two floors of asymmetrical openings over porches with semicircular arches, at the back of which there is an arch with a segmental barrel vault and lunette decoration on its soffit.
