Laguna del Pueblo (Lagoon)

Of endorheic origin, it occupies 54 hectares and is a Biosphere Reserve. It owes its great importance to the presence of the Flamingo, the White-headed Duck, and a wide range of birds all year long. It has more than 120 vertebrate species.

The Centro de Interpretación de la Naturaleza el HUMEDAL DE DON QUIJOTE (DON QUIJOTE’S WETLAND), exhibits and extols the natural value of our lagoon complex, which is made up of the Retamar Lagoon, Navalafuente Lagoon, Alcahozo Lagoon (hypersaline) and Laguna del Pueblo (Village Lagoon).
