Restaurante Azafrán

The Restaurante Azafrán is located in Villarrobledo . Awarded the Bib Gourmand distinction by the Michelin Guide.

This restaurant on the La Mancha Wine Route is based on traditional Castilian-La Mancha cuisine, updated without excesses of modernity. Its main dishes are stews with game meat such as gazpacho manchegos, rice with wood pigeon or ajopringue with carob (morteruelo). Of course, the menu is not lacking in D.O. products such as Manchego cheese, saffron from La Mancha and Manchego lamb.

In Azafrán, they also give prominence to pastries with a careful selection of homemade dishes such as “Villarrobledo Cheese cake”, “arroz duz con azafrán” or sweet “migas” with chocolate.

As gastronomy is conceived as a whole , they also give importance to the wine list , recently awarded at the Cervantes Gastronomy Awards . It includes national and international wines, emphasising the protected geographical indications of Castilla-La Mancha and especially of the DO Mancha.
