With around five centuries of history, this is one of the most massive celebrations in this Land of Giants, where six brotherhoods put twenty-nine “pasos” on the streets in nine processions characterised by the chronological order of the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Christ.
A plastic catechesis with the figures, the Nazarenes, the “anderos”, the penitents and the music as the characters of an event in which prayer, devotion and silence make themselves felt in the streets of this miller’s town. To experience Easter Week in Campo de Criptana is to relive the Passion of Christ in a Cervantine environment with neighbours who will invite you to take part in the tradition.
