The typical manifestation of the Carnival of Tomelloso has been highlighted by the spectacular carnival parades that take place during these days. In the parade of school groups take part almost two thousand children, parents and teachers, displaying so much imagination and colour that it has been declared of regional tourist interest; in the parade of carnival groups stand out the large peñas of our city and its surroundings.

Funny, transgressive, it is a very participative and entertaining festival; there are parades of school groups, a good opportunity for travellers with their children to come and enjoy it; there are also parades of groups with light, colour and a lot of laughs and humour.

The Spontaneous Mask Competition takes place in it, evaluating originality, characterisation, sympathy and the most original costume.
