Monasterio de la Purísima Concepción y San Bernardo
Monasterio de La Purísima Concepción y San Bernardo
VILLARROBLEDO
Founded in 1597, it was the first convent created in Villarrobledo . It was built on the old Hospital de la Caridad, which in turn had been built on the primitive church of La Concepción from the mid-15th century.
From an architectural point of view, the monastery of San Bernardo is in the popular Renaissance style, occupies a large plot in the center of Villarrobledo and has a church with a single nave, inside which, traditionally, the Christ of Medinaceli is venerated.
